REST IN POWER, OUR STRONG TOWER

 REST IN POWER, OUR STRONG TOWER

Allow me to kick-start by setting this scene;

For his legacy must forever remain clean;

The time in history was during 1992 – 94/5, as a people united in spirit we were very delighted;

We had just obtained independence and the atmosphere was tense with fear yet; we were excited;

A normal day in the locality of Wanaheda post-Independence was disrupted, we stood in awe for hours;

As we witnessed a convoy of speeding vehicles with blaring sirens making their way to a house across ours;

Coming to a screeching halt, men and women with arms across their chests jump out in bursts;

Their sunglasses so dark, with no eye contact with straight faces as they scan their environment first;

REST IN POWER, OUR STRONG TOWER

The opening of the limousine door saw the emergence of our new neighbour as his face lights up;

Waving to the mostly youth gathered to witness his arrival, as my sister and I approach she gets picked up;

In the presence of the Founding President and Father of the Namibian Nation, we were blessed with his energies;

His words of wisdom and every encounter during the tenure as our neighbour, shaped our ideologies;

I felt privileged to be sharing geo space with this legend that I am told about in our history classes;

Especially since at the time we met, I was in an age bracket that could absorb life’s precious lessons;

His impartations during my teenage years will be regarded as inspirational fuel to bolster;

Our joint efforts to ensure through hard work, social justice and defeat this poverty monster;

REST IN POWER, OUR STRONG TOWER

A true strategist and leader of immense insight, foresight with a clear vision mindset composed;

An ingenious gentleman oozing with self-discipline and through his bravery the enemy was deposed;

Mentally so strong that no shape or form of threats or intimidation could muzzle his courage and mission;

As we embodied his mindset, words and works in our daily lives the principles shared turned into manifestation;

A loyal, dedicated, determined and klevr tactician gifted with immense intellect;

His movements and plans those closest to the enemy in his circle could not even detect

The Founding President and Father of the Namibian Nation is a man worthy of emulation;

Let us take the que from his selfless life, so that we take our people to a different elevation;

REST IN POWER, OUR STRONG TOWER

It is under your leadership that the development trajectory of our nation gained prosperity;

You made it known at every gathering that the liberation war started before your time for clarity;

Recognizing the Namibian heroes in the form of Samuehl Maharero, Hendrik Witbooi and Tobias Hainyeko as a part of our history;

This you do, so that all those that water our freedom with their blood are recognized and not kept as a mystery.

You took the baton over from great leaders before your arrival on the political scene, to push the independence agenda;

Despite resistance from powers stronger than your resources, you never wavered and showed that you’re no coward;

Your natural diplomacy and interpersonal skills, made you connect with people from all walks of life;

Now as you enter the gates of heaven, may the angels of God embrace your soul with a high five;

REST IN POWER, OUR STRONG TOWER

As a nation we were blessed by your birth and will forever remain indebted to your legacy;

As a people united for a common purpose for the good of all, we will fiercely defeat the enemy;

Founding President and Father of the Namibian Nation, we Thank you for your selfless sacrifices;

It was through your encouragement and deployment that together we defeated the colonial vices;

Your contributions to our fight for liberation will never be erased from our history and knowledge;

We recognize that your name and efforts have set the bar high for revolutionary and social reform passage;

In salutations to your impact on our society and the world at large, we stand under the shadows of your greatness;

As a Namibian nation, united in diversity with different backgrounds because of you; we show no meekness;

REST IN POWER, OUR STRONG TOWER

Founding president and Father of the Namibian Nation, Thank you for guiding us to the light;

We know the days when it was dark and heavy, though difficult that it was worth the fight;

Now your soul should rest in power, as you have fulfilled your mission on earth;

My prayer is that, many more little Sam Nujoma’s be given birth;

We will take it from here and further the agenda of our emancipation, Your Excellency;

As we preserve your works in our lives through cementing eternally your legacy.

THE SOLDIERS EYES, DEPICT MY ANCESTORS CRIES

We’re awoken to the sounds of Roosters crowing to the dawn of day;

And whilst our tea is busy warming up on the fire we kneel and pray;

A normal day on our settlement with the sun shining and the winds at peak;

As we prepare the day, we hearken to the elders as they sat us down to speak;

Sharing folk talk amongst others, as the elders handed out tasks to be completed;

As winter was approaching we could not allow our food storage to be depleted;

THE SOLDIERS EYES, DEPICT MY ANCESTORS CRIES

Herding the livestock in the depth of our valley, we observed dust in the foreground;

Alarmed we froze in utter shock to the extent of exposing our hideout and being found;

Men on horseback with what seemed like weapons of mass destruction over their shoulders;

We were marched back to our village with our livestock in shackles like were now prisoners;

Families captured in chains with our huts being up in flames and the strong put to death;

The torture was a shock to the extent that some elders having taken their last breath;

Uprooted from our water source and what we called home for so many generations;

We embarked upon a journey unknown and so far, it seemed we were changing nations;

THE SOLDIERS EYES, DEPICT MY ANCESTORS CRIES

Along the journey being whipped with no food or water for days they did not bother;

Many did not make the journey as they became victims to the merciless slaughter;

Our final destination seems with no further land in view surrounded by the ocean;

As people were rounded up daily on carts chained my elders’ names they did mention;

I did not know on that day it would be their last sight, as from us they vanished;

We would wake up and go to sleep malnourished accompanied by cries of anguish;

Our mothers and sisters passed on from soldier to soldier, as they paraded them naked;

They were hell bend on tarnishing our dignity and defiled what we regarded as sacred;

THE SOLDIERS EYES, DEPICT MY ANCESTORS CRIES

Treated like slaves in our country of birth right, by those who seek to oppress and rule;

Once decapitated our fathers and brothers would be thrown into the ocean to fool;

The Sharks swimming close shore got excited as if they were gifted manna from heaven;

The trauma visits me every hour, that’s why I go drown my sorrows at the nearby tavern;

It pains me that my people’s destiny has been stolen through decades of abuse and torture;

We must restore and set the narrative correct for the descendants through consistent folklore;

The restoration of their dignity requires policy formulations to advance reparatory justice;

This we will embark upon even if it requires an unwavering and tireless effort to fight this;

INDEED HAGE ARRIVED, NOW HIS LEGACY WE SCRIBE

 INDEED HAGE ARRIVED, NOW HIS LEGACY WE SCRIBE

Personally, I experience my heart thrown on the floor as its torn;

I wear black daily in your honor as I join the chorus that mourn;

We accept death as a part of life and bring forth no argument in this regard;

Yet, was it necessary to take him in that manner with little or no guard?

We wanted to say our goodbyes in manners by elders foretold;

All we have left now is your picture, that in our hearts we fold;

I am of the opinion that, you still had ten years ahead in your spiritus;

Yet, a well-orchestrated exit strategy became your life’s exodus;

INDEED HAGE ARRIVED, NOW HIS LEGACY WE SCRIBE

You are in every sense of the word, an administrator of note;

Your instructions proceeded with an ever-commanding pose;

A master mind tactician that outclassed his opponents with flair;

They hated you so much, that at times they gave that evil stare;

Though many congregated, concocting and complotting for your downfall;

As your ancestors and God guided you, to ensure you remain standing tall;

And in pursuit of the purpose of your birth and the fulfilment of that destiny;

You embarked upon that mission, to ensure that your work becomes testimony;

INDEED HAGE ARRIVED, NOW HIS LEGACY WE SCRIBE

It has not been easy to accept your exit, as it was so sudden;

Deep down these wounds of mine, cry out at night in Latin;

You brought the country onward a trend of economic recovery;

Thanks to you, many are no longer a part of this trade slavery;

Your presence had a particular aura, when around your energy;

Even from afar you oozed with foresight and confidence cleverly;

Encouraged that you, against all odds placed before you not to triumph;

In all your pursuits, you stood head and shoulders above many like a giant;

INDEED HAGE ARRIVED, NOW HIS LEGACY WE SCRIBE

We should have started the Foundation in the year twenty twelve;

Why did you want to have this mechanism delayed and on the shelve?

My vision was to celebrate you, while you’re still around us all;

With you now gone from us, I can’t think of anyone else to call;

I heard your voice on the Saturday evening in my space of solace;

Little did I know that, it was your way of showing for the last your face;

I awoke to the news via the social media on Sunday of your demise;

I knew then immediately that, the trip to the States was your last dice;

INDEED HAGE ARRIVED, NOW HIS LEGACY WE SCRIBE

As I paid my last respects, stood in honor and greatness to salute your casket laid in velvet;

I am at peace, that your best man made sure that your body was protected by the helmet;

I made it my fervent and determined mission to take your mantle;

I knew I had to do it soon before your body enters the Heroes Temple;

I turned and walked away experiencing a heavy weight on my shoulders;

I know that, during my walk here on earth I have many undercover haters;

I will ensure that your legacy will never be erased from our country’s history;

That all your contributions made, should not remain to the youth a mystery;

INDEED HAGE ARRIVED, NOW HIS LEGACY WE SCRIBE

I thank you for your gift to us all, as I remain forever kneeling in gratitude;

May I be blessed with your integrity, diplomacy and work ethic attitude;

Teach me not to make the same mistakes that you regret and be vigilant;

Give me your endeavor and fighting spirit, so I can be strong and gallant;

I know that you are not happy, yet I know your soul accepted your fate;

You shouldn’t have trusted that soul, when you found out it was too late;

I have to accept even though it is hard to embrace, that you took your last breath;

I celebrate your life and take heed to move around this world in deeper stealth;

INDEED HAGE ARRIVED, NOW HIS LEGACY WE SCRIBE

These eighty plus years lived on earth were a bliss as you are such a blessing;

The day you fulfilled your destiny you took the throne, we stopped stressing;

To me and my people’s you are a man of unmatched and unparalleled immense valor;

As a people’s we endeavor to serve you as our lifelong ambitions for your ultimate honor;

An old man filled with wisdom you left in our hearts deep rooted footprints;

Now towards my destiny I embark on those focused and progressive sprints;

Rest knowing that you are enshrined in our hearts and portrayed in our lives;

May the angels of God with a standing ovation applaud and give you high fives.

The Light…is worth the Fight

The Light…is worth the Fight

Placed as an embryo in the womb filled with darkness;

In our infancy covered with nothing more than nakedness;

Heavily dependant on the conduct of lifestyle lead by the host;

This explains when at birth peoples congregate to toast;

To the victory achieved of life given despite the odds;

Even when the health status was placed between the rocks;

The Light…is worth the Fight

The grasp of oxygen with the first breath ignites the lungs;

To achieve this feat, we had to ignore many deceiving tongues;

Labour being an intense battle between will and compassion;

Determined to see it through despite the pain and laceration;

This continued and consistent battle for survival;

Brings forth once taken on with pure intend revival;

The Light…is worth the Fight

The battle for the soul and that of life is indeed real;

Many distractions including the thief of suicide will come to steal;

That which is precious to them all;

Your demise and ultimate fall;

Don’t let depression and a lack of self-worth win this fight;

Hang in there endure the trimming process, coming through are rays of light;

The Light…is worth the Fight

Nobody ever said that life will be easy;

You will need strong polishing to ensure you don’t come across as cheesy;

Temptation will come in the form of plenty offer;

Once entertained will make you nothing more than a quick stop over;

Many sit on thrones that they don’t own;

Masquerading in pursuit of self-interest they are a clone;

The Light…is worth the Fight

Determined to at all costs vilify your persona and character;

Enabling them to perform on you a societal rapture;

At all costs stay focused and in the game;

Never allow them to classify you as lame;

When upon you they bring evil bricks of rain;

With your strength all of them you will be able to tame;

The Light…is worth the Fight

Note that bringing you on earth was tough;

Surviving this beast called life, you must be rough;

Yet remaining at all times humble and respectful;

And unto those who rely on you heavily a useful tool;

Don’t ever enter with these crocodiles this pool;

We are not to be blamed when associates call you a fool;

The Light…is worth the Fight

Avoid at all times to dance with the devil;

Cause God has elevated you to another level;

Bombarded with all the negative media;

And life becomes nothing more than a trivia;

In this journey at all times stay woke;

Cause in places you’ve not entered your name they spoke.

The Light…is worth the Fight

I urge you not to wait, cause surely this is fate;

I urge you not to wait, cause surely this is fate;

Ms. X. I thank you greatly for letting me go,

Enabling all my energies to now freely flow,

As I move toward my goal as predestined,

Although all these years I was hesitant,

I write this with a deep and heavy heart,

It hurts me so much that, we have to part,

I acknowledge your role played in my journey,

Now I stand on my purpose holding on firmly,

I urge you not to wait, cause surely this is fate;

I am now strong enough to release your soul,

As I have finally conquered the stained pole,

The envisaged date on the twenty third November will not transpire,

Checking deep in the records surely it was meant to expire,

Now I cut all spiritual ties with your being in its entirety,

And in so doing release myself from all obligations for freedom infinitely,

As part of my spiritual cleansing journey toward maturity,

At all costs and at all times I must avoid allowing mutiny,

I urge you not to wait, cause surely this is fate;

The day we met will remain cemented like February,

As you have carved in my life an unforgettable memory,

The hardest part is now to unlearn to love your being,

At night when I go to sleep deeply in my heart it rings,

That it will not be easy going forward without you in my life,

And that turning and toiling like a drug withdrawal is rife,

I will forever love you with the love I have for myself,

And thank God that he blessed me with height unlike an elf,

I urge you not to wait, cause surely this is fate;

I never imaged that I will live without you next to me,

Yet time has come for us both to be totally set free,

The ability for me to entrust the human kind has been shattered,

My heart and soul all across the oceans now scattered,

I don’t want to strain you with my burden so heavy,

Thus, I am cutting loose so that we can become steady,

I wish you well in your endeavors of life in totality,

Know that you remain in my eye’s divine royalty,

I urge you not to wait, cause surely this is fate;

I am not coming back to your arms embrace,

You will in person no longer see my face,

I am not replacing you with another kind,

Cause surely, I am not on a journey to find,

As during my youth, I was taught a valuable lesson,

That unto myself and for me, my loins I must fasten,

Now I submit a prayer for your forgiveness humbly,

And extend well wishes of joy and prosperity to your family.

I urge you not to wait, cause surely this is fate.

Time to face my demon's, though they are legions

At birth they put me through a swallow grave;
And this for the rest of my life set the stage;

Cursed from the first breath I took on earth;
As I grew taller so did their replica shadow;

Exposed to the ugly and bitter at young;
Almost like when they engaged me I got stung;

I had to be strong and fervently persistent;
Giving the evil forces unwavering resistance;

Time to face my demon's, though they are legions

I am grateful and humble for the divine protection;
As I became more obedient I received greater revelation;

I fell many a times yet never laid there;
I know that the God I serve is truly fair;

It is time to face the enemy head on;
Though the withdrawals at times get strong;

The greater the temptation and battle,
The greater your gift will give the cage a rattle;

Time to face my demon's, though they are legions

This is war of the soul at spiritual level;
The one after your demise is the devil;

He has been attempting to steal, kill and destroy;
He has in strategic places the plan deployed;

No longer can you be dependent on people's;
They have realised that you cause more then just a ripple;

They want your gift and your soul;
Don't allow yourself to stubbornly foil;

Time to face my demon's, though they are legions

The perfect plan God has for your life;
Even though strong temptation is rife;

Leave no door open for entry;
Cause they are the enemy;

All they do is take and abuse;
Now Sober even I am amused;

How did I allow all this to happen?;
Must have been cause I was napping;

Time to face my demon's, though they are legions

Denouncing association with the occult;
What is demanded of me I just can't;

I take back what was sacrificed in exchange;
Ya'll can keep what was due as my change;

I am not interested in the glam and fame;
I will rather remain the Loner tied to the Fam;

I forgive myself for the self inflicted pain;
And cut off this heavy ambololical train;

Time to face my demon's, though they are legions

I am ready for this fight you are about to bring;
This time round, I will be the one to sting;

I know the nights will be dark and cold;
Yet, my soul and spirit is ever bold;

I will come out in the end victorious;
Because I know that I am glorious;

In the shade of the Lord my God;
Soon to be broadcasted via the Pod.

Time to face my demon's, though they are legions

I see your spirit, time to set your limit.

I see your spirit, time to set your limit.

Awoken from this deep and dangerous slumber,

Looking back, damn the enemy did a number,

My soul remains at peace under attack,

Though tempted to engage, I retract,

I see you know my past history in detail,

Think I am still at the same address, surely you'll fail,

Knowing that I am constantly under watch,

Time to suit up and enter this match,

I see your spirit, time to set your limit,

For ten (10) year's your kind has abused,

Even Satan is delightedly very amused,

My gift, cause I was blinded by a carnal mind,

Disguised as very convenient, whilst busy turning me into their kind,

The next seven (7) year's ahead,

For your kind it will end very bad,

I stand my ground on the facts in writing,

To my growth, their will be no stifling,

I see your spirit, time to set your limit,

I will unearth your identity in detail,

And come at the you, with the pace of the snail,

I will be quick as a serpent,

Yet, remain a fervent servant,

Innocent as the precious dove,

'Cause as for mankind, I have nothing but love,

Yet, you taunt and tease me,

Unwilling to set me completely free,

I see your spirit, time to set your limit,

Enough, I say...with your bondage of my soul,

I see the intended sculpture from the mold,

I break every curse unto my soul foretold,

And break from this cage as bold and ever cold,

I bow down no longer to your idol,

In prayer this will become my recital,

Away from me you unwelcomed,

In the book of life, my name is narrated.

I see your spirit, time to set your limit.

A Mother's Dedication....A Soul's Meditation

 From his rib she is formed;
Yet by lucifer she was scorned;

Cursed in the Garden of Eden;
Still blamed till this day even;

Blessed with the ability to conceive;
Her womb and body the seed to receive;

Careful what you feed her soul;
As she is given the ability to mould;

A Mother's Dedication....A Soul's Meditation

Giver of life as she multiplies given seed;
That's why from her there should be no weed;

Her embrace gives vital nutrients;
That's why she must be fed ingredients;

Fit for the queen she is in true essence;
We must stop with this insane violence;

Cloth her with adoration and bling;
Time to take away this evil sting;

A Mother's Dedication....A Soul's Meditation

So special that we dedicate the Mother's Day;
Because it is through her love for us that stronger we stay;

We appreciate your self sacrifice;
Because of you we can face the vice;

We vow to protect you in all earnest;
Your love kept us through the furnace.

A Mother's Dedication...A Soul's Meditation- Happy Mother's Day

The Resurrection....

 The Resurrection...

Many despised the gift within;

Ridiculed and talents made thin;

Told that he won't rise again and was mocked;

Becoming the laughing stock of many he was shocked;

Instead of giving a helping hand to rise up;

Everytime he reached out he was told to shut up;

Yet he believed in himself deeply and refused to cave in;

Quiting now after so much turmoil and pain, would be a sin;

The Resurrection...

Not understood due to his uniqueness and courage;

Unto himself he committed through self marriage;

With God by his side, he fears none;

In prayer and supplication the two have fun;

In God's presence he entered the Sabbath;

Soaked in the Holy Spirit he took a cleansing bath;

Everything taken in the past will be restored;

As he in heaven, has had his heart stored;

The Resurrection...

He got injured in battle against the Goliath;

Yet, despite the bruises never became tired;

He stood his ground in principle and truth;

Even though, during the fight he lost a tooth;

He is standing on the promises of God;

Engaging his foes who are the rot;

Coming to claim his rightful place;

His enemies don't know his trace;

The Resurrection...

He is taller than the average Namibian person;

To those coming against him, will be taught a lesson;

Smarter than your best candidate;

Time has come to expose your fate;

Having gone down to Hates;

Ya'll to him are perceived as laaities;

The God he serves is just;

Victory is a definite must;

The Resurrection...

Back from the dead to haunt;

To reveal the source of your flaunt;

Thievery of the highest order;

Soon, his bag you will carry as a porter;

There will be no mercy come the appearance;

We will mourn in the streets your disappearance;

This hurdle placed he too will overcome;

As the journey travelled was with none;

The Resurrection...

The prodigal son has returned;

His dreadlocks he had to burn;

Royalty runs in his veins;

Every step made he gains;

Table prepared in the midst of his enemies;

They will clearly not be mentioned in the nominies;

No amount of trickery will win;

Even when you hire the best to spin.

The Resurrection...

I finally found my peace….At the end of my race

I finally found my peace….At the end of my race

In the beginning it surely wasn’t easy;

Over the years I became a tad bit lazy;

Having realized that I don’t have to engage in every fight;

Just ‘because constitutionally I have that right;

Equally I don’t have to win every battle;

At times I have learned for less to settle;

Learning that I must not react to every provocation;

When tempted I take my mind and soul on a mental vacation;

In keeping calm I meditate in silence;

Because I am really tired of all this violence;

Now I avoid situations that triggers;

As I have a habit of plotting revenge and it lingers;

To the extent that I get so worked up;

I have trained my mind to shut up;

I finally found my peace….At the end of my race

Firstly, myself I had to forgive;

Life unto myself I have spoken;

Those that took my love for granted;

In my walk were strategically planted;

Against them in my heart I no longer hold grudges;

I opt to rather relax and watch boxing matches;

The hurt and pain is not their doing;

My compassionate heart just kept on giving;

My mind, soul and heart no longer heavy;

To be joyful and thankful for is so plenty;

I am more important and want to be happy;

Cutting off those draining me I have to be snappy;

Now with gratitude I guard my heart;

Before passion from me grows far apart;

I finally found my peace….At the end of my race

Finally I can sense my hearts beat;

Covered by clouds in God from all this heat;

Now I listen without interruption with intent;

Upon a collective effort and love I depend;

Instead of the constant suggestions, I now ask;

In complete and utter humility I bask;

I can now experience my spirit man at rest;

It has come time to give unto me my best;

There is a tangible change internally;

The way I perceive equally mentally;

I have really become a changed man;

Evident in my train of thought and plan;

I no longer get angry with vigor;

Come to think of it, won’t even need that liquor;

I finally found my peace….At the end of my race

Over people’s health I was made responsible;

Because they saw in me a man that is noble;

I became the resident doctor and pharmacist;

Death to the accusations that I am a narcissist;

In me many people came and did confide;

Their secrets and pains in me forever will abide;

I was tasked unto the people of God to preach;

As I witnessed that all needed a new level to reach;

Made by management a senior resident;

Leading the people as their chosen president;

Setting them free from all captivity;

Breaking down all walls of negativity;

It had to happen that for this reason I was raised;

I can sense that my efforts God indeed has praised;

I finally found my peace….At the end of my race

In me people have identified a humble leader;

Gifted I have realized that I am an eloquent speaker;

Into their lives God’s mercy and favor I prophesy;

I know that one day of God’s goodness they will testify;

That’s why in my walk I am never alone;

Even though many my soul attempt to stone;

They will never succeed my spirit to defeat;

Unto my life God’s promises are on repeat;

Can the haters just give up already?!

The angels on my defense team are many;

Now I know that from those given much;

Prior to their birth by God were given a touch;

Now my soul rests at night;

I no longer in my dreams take flight.

I finally found my peace….At the end of my race
